Principal Mentorship
ROE #8 offers a Principal Support Program (PSP), designed to provide individualized support to building leaders. Meetings are scheduled on a frequency requested by the administrator and are held in-person, on-site with an ROE Administrative Consultant.Admin Consultants are experienced building administrators who have also completed the coaching/mentoring training offered through the Illinois Principals Association.
Topics of discussion are targeted to the needs of the building, but typically include: data analysis, current legal issues/requirements, ISBE updates, staff issues, student issues, discipline issues, and school improvement initiatives. Any other current topics/issues identified by the administrator are also discussed, as needed.
