AA #2001: Illinois Performance Evaluation - Teacher Evaluation Training
This is a two-day course.
March 23, 2026 from 8:30AM - 3:30PM at ROE8 in Freeport.
March 24, 2026 from 8:30AM - 4:00PM virtually through Zoom.
Attendance at both sessions is mandatory.
Course Content: This course will cover all aspects of evaluation, including teacher professional practice and student growth data. This academy aligns to the competencies for Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b).
Intended Audience: Individuals who have never been qualified to evaluate teachers in the state of Illinois. Upon successful completion, the educator will be qualified to evaluate licensed teachers.
Requirements: To be successful in this academy, you must have a strong understanding of the Danielson Framework.
Your attendance is required for the duration of this initial training to receive credit. Participation also requires Internet access, ability to join a Zoom session with both video and audio, and a Google account. Pre-work assignments will be sent electronically 7–10 days before the first session. These must be completed in advance. Participants who have not finished the pre-work will not be allowed to attend. An exam will be given during the second session. A passing score is required to earn Administrative Academy Credit and certification to evaluate teachers.
