A virtual, self-paced Book Study where we will delve into Shifting the Balance: 6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading into the Upper Elementary Classroom by Katie Egan Cunningham, Jan Burkins, and Kari Yates. This book provides practical, research-based strategies to support ALL readers more effectively. Participants will be expected to read each chapter, engage their thoughts and ideas on each Shift, and comment on the thoughts of others. Participants who complete all the requirements, will earn 15 PDHs for their participation.
